Beaches Negril
The easy family choice in Negril, on the widest stretch of Seven Mile Beach. Pirate Island water park sits on the sand and is open 10 am to 6 pm daily, Kids Camp has certified nannies and teen activities, and there are 13 restaurants and 5 bars. Beaches also has the Caribbean’s first certified autism centers.
- Good: A water park on the beach, nannies, and tips, taxes and airport transfers included.
- But: A busy family resort, about 75 km from Montego Bay airport.

Best for families with teens
Royalton Negril
A big, modern family resort of 407 suites on Seven Mile Beach, reopened in August 2026. There’s a supervised kids’ club for ages 4 to 12, a teen lounge for 13 to 17 and a splash pad for little ones, plus nine restaurants and 7 bars. Every room is a suite, and family suites are 678 sq ft.
- Good: Clubs for both kids and teens, and tips and 24-hour room service included.
- But: No water park, and the adults-only Hideaway areas on the same grounds are off-limits.

Best mid-sized family resort
Azul Beach Resort Negril
Karisma’s 283-suite resort on Seven Mile Beach, big enough for seven pools and five restaurants but small enough not to feel like a city. Swim-up rooms open onto a lazy river, the Azulitos Playhouse takes ages 4 to 12, and family loft and two-bedroom suites sleep up to six.
- Good: A manageable size, with taxes, tips and room service included.
- But: Only a splash park, and all the pool and swim-up bars are 18+.

Best calm family base on Bloody Bay
Hotel Riu Palace Tropical Bay
The more grown-up of Riu’s two Negril resorts, on the calmer water of Bloody Bay. Most rooms are 32 m² junior suites, dinners lean towards the Japanese, fusion and Italian restaurants, and there’s still a kids’ club and children’s pool. Guests get free entry to the RIU Party at Riu Negril, with transfers.
- Good: Roomy junior suites and a quieter stretch of beach.
- But: Not adults only, and about 6 km from Negril town.

Best for groups of friends
Hotel Riu Negril
The lively Riu on Bloody Bay, built for energy: eight places to eat, a 24-hour sports bar, a swim-up bar and the RIU Party at night. Families get RIU Land and a pool with slides, and two-bedroom family rooms of 57 m² mean bigger groups can stay together.
- Good: A sociable crowd, with free kayaks, snorkel gear and a trial dive.
- But: Not the place for quiet, and about 80 km from Montego Bay airport.

Couples Negril
A sociable, couples-only resort of 234 rooms on calm Bloody Bay. Scuba diving, golf at Negril Hills with green fees, water sports and a sunset catamaran sail are all in the price, there are six restaurants, and Couples doesn’t allow tipping.
- Good: Scuba, golf and a catamaran sail included, with no tipping.
- But: Couples only, and the Seven Mile Beach bars are a drive away.

Couples Swept Away
The bigger Couples resort, with 312 suites on Seven Mile Beach and a 10-acre sports complex: tennis, pickleball, squash, a gym and a lap pool, with lessons included. Seven restaurants, eight bars, and scuba and golf in the price.
- Good: The best sports facilities on this list, and no tipping.
- But: Garden Verandah Suites sit near the entrance and the road.

Best for couples who live on the beach
Sandals Negril
The beach Sandals, on the widest stretch of Seven Mile Beach. Water skiing, wakeboarding, Hobie Cats and scuba for certified divers are included, and rooms run up to swim-up and SkyPool Butler Suites. Every guest must be 18 or older.
- Good: Water sports, tips and airport transfers included.
- But: Eight restaurants, fewer than the Ocho Rios Sandals.

Best small, quiet adults-only resort
Sunset at the Palms
85 treehouse-style rooms on stilts in ten acres of gardens, adults only (18+), with a private beach club across the road on Seven Mile Beach. Evenings are low-key, and every guest has a personal concierge.
- Good: Small and calm, with a beach club of its own.
- But: No sea-view rooms, and rooms are up 10 to 12 steps.

Best adults-only party resort
Hedonism II
A Negril institution with a very specific personality: adults only, clothing-optional and lifestyle-friendly, with theme nights, drinks around the clock and separate clothing-optional and nude beaches. Right for the people it’s built for, and nobody else.
- Good: A social, round-the-clock atmosphere on Seven Mile Beach.
- But: Clothing-optional throughout, so not for everyone.

Two more open Negril resorts suit narrower trips. Royalton Hideaway Negril is an adults-only section of 140 suites inside Royalton Negril, with its own pool, beach area and restaurant, and full use of the family resort’s 12 restaurants. Grand Lido Negril is a clothing-free enclave of 26 suites for guests 21 and over, beside the same Royalton resorts.
Not open yet
Every Negril all-inclusive with a guide on this site is taking guests again after Hurricane Melissa. The nearest resort still on its way back is Sandals South Coast at Whitehouse, Westmoreland, on the south coast rather than in Negril itself, which is scheduled to reopen on November 18, 2026.

Are there all-inclusive resorts on Negril's cliffs?
Not among the resorts on this site. The West End cliffs have small hotels and cottages, such as The Cliff Hotel, and you eat at their restaurants or out along West End Road.
How far is Negril from Montego Bay airport?
