Best water park on the beach
Beaches Negril
Pirate Island is the only water park here right on the sand, on Seven Mile Beach in Negril, with slides, a lazy river and kids’ pools, open 10 am to 6 pm daily. It suits the widest age range, and Kids Camp’s certified nannies help with the youngest.
- Good: A water park on the sand, plus nannies.
- But: About 75 km from Montego Bay airport.

Best for slides
Princess Grand Jamaica
The Wild Princess water park has four slides, two pools, a splash pool and its own bar, at a new-build resort that opened in 2024 on the beach at Green Island, between Negril and Montego Bay. A kids’ club for ages 3 to 12 and family junior suites with bunk beds round it out.
- Good: Four slides, plus a splash pool for younger children.
- But: No connecting rooms, and at most three rooms per booking.

Best near Montego Bay airport
Royalton Blue Waters
A pirate-themed water park with slides, splash areas and a lazy river, included, at a 225-suite resort about 35 minutes from Montego Bay airport. There’s a supervised kids’ club for ages 4 to 12 and a teen club with teen disco nights.
- Good: A water park and a lazy river with a short transfer.
- But: Some restaurants are being renovated and may be served at other venues.

Best for big families
Hotel Riu Palace Aquarelle
Riu’s newest Jamaica resort, opened in May 2024 on White Bay near Falmouth, about 35 minutes from Montego Bay airport. Splash Water World is included, the children’s pool has a pirate ship and slides, and two-bedroom family rooms start at 58 m², including swim-up versions.
- Good: Splash Water World and two-bedroom family rooms.
- But: Riu doesn't list age rules for the water park here, so ask before you book.

Best water park plus a lazy river
Ocean Coral Spring
A water park with a family pool and a lazy river with waterfalls and floats, at a 513-suite resort on the beach near Falmouth. The Daisy Club takes ages 4 to 12 and the Teen Club 13 to 17, and the bowling alley and theater help on rainy days.
- Good: A water park, a lazy river and a teen club.
- But: Busy: guests of Ocean Eden Bay next door use its facilities too.

Hotel Riu Ocho Rios
Splash Water World on Mammee Bay is the big draw, with separate kids’ and teen clubs and evening shows. Younger children use the children’s pool with slides.
- Good: Splash Water World plus separate kids' and teen clubs.
- But: Splash Water World recommends ages 12 and up.

Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa
A children’s water park with slides, beside what Palladium calls one of Jamaica’s largest pools, at a resort on the beach at Point Lucea, west of Montego Bay. Kids’ and teens’ clubs and ten restaurants and 21 bars, shared with sister hotel Lady Hamilton, fill the rest of the day.
- Good: A children's water park and lots of places to eat.
- But: Out of town, and the airport shuttle usually costs extra.

Best for toddlers
Franklyn D. Resort
The 100-ft Big Blue water slide, a kiddie slide, a toddler waterfall and four pools, at a small family resort in Runaway Bay. A vacation nanny is included every day, which makes pool time easy with little ones.
- Good: A daily nanny plus a big slide.
- But: Small resort, with 4 restaurants.
Two more open resorts have water slides without a full water park: Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites has the Aquafun play area with slides, a short drive from Montego Bay airport, and Hotel Riu Negril has a pool with slides on Bloody Bay. Not open yet: Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica in Runaway Bay, which has a children’s water park, reopens on December 1, 2026. Dreams Rose Hall is due back in 2027 with no firm date, and Hyatt hasn’t said whether its water park returns as before. The old Jewel Runaway Bay Beach Resort & Waterpark is being rebuilt as Beaches Runaway Bay, with no opening date yet.

A resort makes the list only when its own information confirms a water park or water slides on site, or shared with a sister hotel in the same complex, and age rules come from the resort. I only list places that are open: anything closed, reopening later or unconfirmed is left off until it’s taking guests again. No resort pays to be listed, and I don’t claim stays I haven’t had.

Which water park resort is closest to Montego Bay airport?
Royalton Blue Waters and Hotel Riu Palace Aquarelle are both about 35 minutes away, and Ocean Coral Spring 35 to 45 minutes. Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites is closer, on the Rose Hall coast, but has a play area with slides rather than a full water park.
Is there a public water park in Jamaica?
Kool Runnings in Negril has closed permanently. Margaritaville in Montego Bay lists a water park in the sea off its deck with a water trampoline; check our guide before you go.
Can day visitors use resort water parks?
Resort water parks are for guests. Some resorts sell day passes, but availability changes, so ask the resort directly.
