My local take

Sans Souci is the romantic, old-school choice in Ocho Rios: 150 suites stepped down a cliff to the sea, a mineral spring pool and grotto, and a Piano Bar that sets the tone in the evening. My take: it suits couples who want something more intimate than the big resorts but still want plenty to do, because Couples includes excursions, golf and scuba in the price.
