My local take

Sandals Ochi is really two places. The Ochi Beach Club side is the social end: swim-up bars, music and the beach. The Butler Villa side sits in a 100-acre garden up the hill, quieter and more private. My take: it suits couples who like choice, a busy day at the beach club and a calm evening somewhere else on property. If you want one compact resort where everything is a few steps away, it isn’t that.

If it’s not quite right, look at Sandals Royal Plantation, the small all-butler sister resort nearby, or Sandals Dunn’s River, the smaller, more modern sister resort on Mammee Bay. More options: the best adults-only all-inclusive resorts in Jamaica.

It’s 9 miles (14 km) from Ian Fleming International Airport (OCJ) and 61 miles (99 km) from Sangster International in Montego Bay (MBJ), and transfers from either are included.
