My local take

The Cliff sits on five acres of the West End cliffs in Negril, the rocky side of town where the water is deep and clear and the sunsets are the main event. It’s a small luxury hotel rather than a resort: oceanfront rooms and suites, multi-bedroom villas, the KiYara Spa and a restaurant with sea views. My take: it suits couples and small groups who want somewhere quiet and upscale and plan to eat out around Negril. If you want sand at your door or an all-inclusive, stay on Seven Mile Beach instead.

If it’s not quite right, look at Catcha Falling Star, another cliff hotel on the West End, or Couples Negril on calm Bloody Bay for a couples-only all-inclusive. See where to stay in Negril.

Rooms

The Cliff has oceanfront guest rooms and suites with private terraces over the sea, and multi-bedroom villas for families and groups.

Food & drink

The hotel has a restaurant and bars with ocean views, plus in-room dining and private dining, such as a dinner in your villa.

Pool & beach

The hotel sits on the cliffs, so swimming is in the clear water below the rocks, and the hotel arranges snorkeling. The KiYara Spa offers treatments using Jamaican ingredients.

The Cliff is on West End Road in Negril, on the cliffs south of the town center. Rick’s Café, for cliff jumping and the big sunset crowd, is also on the West End, and Seven Mile Beach is a short drive north. See where to stay in Negril for the wider area.
