Zoetry Resort Review

Zoetry Resort and Spa is a recently renovated property, which was once known as the Coyaba Beach Resort. Seeing the pictures online showing off the transformation is not quite like actually being there. Here is a synopsis of my recent visit.

Overall Assessment

Zoetry in Montego Bay is one resort I’d consider to be the perfect little getaway.

At 49 rooms, it’s a little on the small side when compared to several of its larger neighbours in the tourism capital. But what it lacks in size, it certainly makes up for in beauty and service.
Stepping into the open-style lobby gives you an instant feeling of being welcome, which is further enhanced by being greeted with refreshments. To be assigned a personal butler, who is always available by cell phone, is also a great impression on any guest.

The rooms can be described as a breath of fresh air. Taupe, beige, gold, and different earth tones with pops of lively colors here and there, make for simply elegant accommodations without overstating. The décor is light and warm, letting in plenty of light through floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that lead out to an open balcony complete with a private tub. In addition to being fitted with smart TVs, stocked mini fridges, and impressive bathrooms with stone-crusted shower, the suites also come with room tablets which make room service a pleasurable and personal experience. Suites are either ocean view or tropical (garden) view, but all are cozy, clean and comfortable.

Everything about Zoetry is designed to provide a Zen-like aura while incorporating natural Jamaican themes, such as wood, water, and bamboo. Outside, you can enjoy the main pool, which offers swim-out access to selected suites, as well as spend your time breezing out on the pier (the pier is also a great place to watch the sunset) or even hang out on the small private beach. Exhilarating massages are also available and highly recommended for the ultimate in relaxation.

Zoetry has three main restaurants offering gourmet dishes and fully-stocked bars. The variety is quite appealing and complimented with fresh fruits and vegetables. Jerky Jo, a small jerk hut, is another big hit when it comes on to food favourites at Zoetry. Note that if you want to leave your room, you can have 24-hour in-suite dining under the Endless Privileges all-inclusive option.

When it comes on to activities, you probably won’t want to do much apart from laze around enjoying all the amenities on offer, as well as appreciating the beauty of the property. However, you can enjoy a number of water sports, Yoga, a boat ride, scuba diving, golf (nearby), and even shopping excursions.
