If you fancy breathtaking views and picture-perfect moments set on the backdrop of beautiful sunsets, then a stop in Negril may be just what you need.

There are a number tourist sights which draws in visitors in the thousands each month. So of course, we’re going to dive in and take a look at some of the places you should check out.

1. Rick’s Cafe Jamaica

We had to start the list off with one of the most exciting, heart-thumping attractions in Negril. Rick’s Cafe is rated as one of the best bars in the world. It sits on top of a 40-foot cliff overlooking the warm Caribbean sea and is a famous hangout spot for tourists and locals alike. Adventure-seekers who don’t mind taking a risk can dive off from the edge of the cliff into the refreshing water below.

Not brave enough? That’s no problem – it’s just as exciting watching others do it too. Be sure to stick around until evening as when the sun sets you’re in for some breathtaking, picture-perfect views. Romantic lovers this is a place on the west end for you!

2. Seven Mile Beach

You’ll find beaches at each of the major tourist destinations, but only a few can compare to the Seven Mile Beach in Negril. It’s a 4-mile stretch of white sand and crystal-clear water. A true tropical paradise.

A visit here won’t disappoint you. You’ll find it quite relaxing just to lie in the sand and soak up the rays of the Jamaican sun. Watersports are available if you’d like to do more and vendors are close by if you want a red stripe beer or just a quick bite to eat.

3. Kool Runnings Water Park

Though this attraction is open for only a few months each year, it’s one of the best family options on our list. Here you’ll find a whole bunch of slides, a lazy-river, and kid-centered attractions.

Some of the slides can be intimidating with names such as “duppy conqueror” and “lightning bolt,” but make no mistake they’re tons of fun! If you’re thinking of a trip to the waterpark, plan for a full day. We guarantee that you won’t want to leave.

4. Margaritaville

Margaritaville provides you with a remarkable beach bar experience. Enjoy the warm waters of the Caribbean sea and swim and explore. There’s a water trampoline in the ocean too (a hallmark feature at the location in Montego Bay also).

When you’re hungry, be sure to grab a bite of the many delicious treats on their menu. Plan for a lazy and relaxing day.

5. The Negril Lighthouse

This is a landmark and well-known spot for visitors in the area. The Negril Lighthouse was constructed back in 1894 and stands tall to this day. It’s a lookout spot for those who want to take in the daily sunset. A great option for couples who want to try something different.

6. Catamaran Cruise

It’s all about good vibes when you hop on board for a Catamaran Cruise. In this roughly 3-hour boat ride you’ll find yourself rocking to the beats of some reggae music as you have a drink and enjoy yourself. Experienced crew members will guide the boat to fun spots where you can snorkel and explore the aquatic world. You’ll also get the chance to watch those beautiful sunsets at Rick’s Cafe from your boat.

7. Mayfield Falls

Mayfield Falls is one of Jamaica’s most amazing natural wonders. It has many different mineral pools which you will adore. Like other attractions on the list there are trained guides available to guide you as you traverse the area. Add this one to your “must-see” list too!

Without a doubt Negril is one of the best places to explore if you’re looking for the perfect escape. These different attractions are all unique and amazing all at the same time and definitely worth a visit.
