Negril has everything, from chill out zones to local artist, live bands. Something on everyday of the week. The beaches are amazing the local traders and people are friendly and trusting. This is all by day along with amazing food by day and night.
All interests can be found. The night life was chill if you want and then I went to a night club unintentionally. It was like being back in the UK. ( I'm not a night club girl so was nice to see)
The taxi drivers are friendly and you can barter if you have the same taxi person every night!
I stayed 4 nights and that's usually just the right amount of time to relax with a massage on the beach and enjoy the sun with a book and a fresh juice or cocktail in hand,

Negril never disappoints, there are so many great cooks, everywhere. You can literally eat anywhere. We rent a car but taxis are a great way to get around to the beautiful beach. Talk to the locals get out of your hotel and explore.

Way past the large all-inclusive resorts, Negril is full of smaller and well maintained properties, guest houses, restaurants. Not so much an international cosmopolitan playground as an honest Jamaican setting.

The hotel is very very secluded and far from EVERYTHING.
The hotel is very very secluded and far from EVERYTHING. I almost thought we were lost trying to find the hotel.
The housekeeper is rude and impolite. The head housekeeper Alison made up for it though. Alison was sweet and kind, and went above and beyond to make up for her co-worker.
The bar/ restaurant servers were excellent. I loved all of the ladies.

Patsy's Coffee Shop was great for breakfast.
Patsy's Coffee Shop was great for breakfast. We enjoyed Ivan's and Rock House for dinner. Dakta Kush was a sweet character we met at his snack stand outside our resort. The people are so funny and friendly! A handful of stray dogs and cats roaming about, friendly and shy.

Negril is a great place to be, at the western end of Jamaica where the sunsets are magic.
Taxis are easy to find, there is a shopping area with a grocery store, which happened to be across from my hotel. Go to Ivans or Rick's Cafe for sunsets and great dinners. Plenty of restaurants line the famous Seven Mile Beach, alongside plenty of hotels.
Negril is two separate experiences, I think. There is the sandy beach and palm tree Negril, and the dramatic cliff-side Negril. Both are worth seeing and the town is small enough to experience both. Do you dare jump off the cliff at Rick's Cafe just for the simple bragging rights? Yes? Then do it! No? well, watching others do so is just as much fun.
Negril is the original tourist beach town. I have known it for 50 years. Just go.
Merrills II is an absolutely lovely property. The room was clean and spacious and all facilities worked well. They have a nice pool as well as being directly on 7 mile beach. Staff are amazing and very attentive to guests and their needs. The location is excellent as it has a large well maintained beach front and is close to all music venues and other amenities. I HIGHLY recommend this place for anyone who wants a beautifully landscaped property with great food on the beach. Overall a lovely place.
The Blue Sky Beach Resort is actually on the beach: It opens on to a small strip of the public beach at Negril. The beach here is rather narrow. The space is sufficient, however, to place a few deckchairs on it. Two of the hotel rooms offer a view onto the sea, interrupted only by the backside of a sundeck which has been put in between. All the other rooms face onto an interior open hallway. I had a big room facing the sea.
Our stay at Travellers was everything we wanted and more. The staffs were polite and friendly, and the room was clean and spacious. We thought the restaurant and bar was perfectly positioned on the beach, the live music at nights were great, and the food and drink prices were reasonable. We will certainly be visiting again on our next visit to Negril.
The location is centrally located on the 7 mile beach so it was perfect. The breakfast and dinner at the restaurant was amazing. About every other night the hotel had Caribbean entertainment; dancers, fire eaters, musicians. It was so much more than what we expected. The people working there were really nice a friendly.
Great hospitality, amazing personel warm, smile and friendly. Very nice rooms, big comfy bed, good clean pool and the best location ever. Remember to stay on the beachside, otherwise you need to cross busy road to get the beach. You can go for free to sister resort Samsara and it's worth to visit!
the restaurant and cafe is very nice, we had very nice breakfast and coffees. the staff and owner are very friendly. the location is very good, right across of the seven mile beach. the garden and trees in the hotel are very beautiful, there are even hummingbirds coming to the flower trees.
Hotel room was clean and comfortable with a balcony, air con, fan etc. The location was great, on the main strip, not on the beach side but cross the road and you can access the beach easily.
Breakfast was lovely and included.
The location is amazing right on the beach. The staff were fantastic too especially Okeen and kenisha made are holiday extra special… A amazing place and hotel one the best holidays we’ve had would definitely recommend.
The breakfast was excellent as usual but I was not to happy that it is now being served on the beach. And unfortunately they stop giving out The Negril Treehouse little note book. Still a wonderful stay..
I loved the location. It was ideal for couples who want to stay in a quiet place. The staff was very nice and educated. It has been one of my favorite vacations and I'm sure the hotel was very relevant.
I loved this property! It was exactly what we what we wanted and needed! We will return to this quaint hotel with wonderful service and food again. The best beach in Negril.
great location, sea front rooms are lovely. This hotel is good mid range option on 7 mile beach. nice free continental breakfast which I prefer over all inclusive gluttony
Location was great. Facilities were excellent. Food was what you would expect from an all inclusive. It was good but not great. Overall we had a great experience.
the rooms are very nice and close to the beach but we came during renovation and it wasn’t noted anywhere, the hotel was fair enough to give us 50% back.
